The Gentlemen’s Evening

Friday May 26th, 2023
The Deke House (11003 – 87 Avenue)

• 12:00 PM: Start at Chapter House for a Campus Tour and Lunch at Room At The Top (RATT), top floor of the Students’ Union Building
• 7:00 PM: Gentlemen’s Evening at Chapter House
• 9:00 PM: Dedication and Group Photo
• Dress is business casual or DKE wear (sweatshirt, jacket, etc.)Wait and bar staff provided
• Complimentary hor d’oeuvres provided
• Several complimentary beverage tickets provided
• Host bar will be provided so guests can enjoy drinks at a reduced price
• Keg beer is included in price
• The event is renting the house from the Active Chapter so they can enjoy some needed revenue for utilities
• A private cleaning crew will be hired for Saturday, so the actives and house boys can enjoy not cleaning up

• 5:30 PM: Chairman’s Reception – Foyer
• 6:00 PM: Cocktail Hour with Jazz Trio – Foyer
• 6:45 PM: Lion March & Group Photo
  7:00 PM: Dinner & Dessert
• Buffalo Mozzarella & Roma Tomatoes, Baby Greens, Fresh Basil, Balsamic Glaze
• Slow Braised Alberta Beef Short Rib (8oz), Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Roasted Vegetables or Quinoa Bowl: Red Quinoa, Sauteed Lemon Kale, Roasted vegetables, Toasted Chickpeas
• Strawberry Champagne Cake w/ Kirsch Raspberry Reduction & Brandy Crisp
• 8:00 PM: Program Starts, Toasts
• 8:45 PM: Dance featuring the Supersonic Hearts live big band (see below)
• 10:00 PM: 2nd Set
• 11:15 PM: 3rd Set, ends at 12:15 AM
• Dress: Formal Tuxedo Preferred or Semi-Formal Dark Suit

Supersonic Hearts Band

Your band for the Gala are members of Supersonic Hearts – a high-energy ensemble of some of the finest musicians in Canada, many of whom have performed with big-name artists such a Michael Jackson, Prince, Tina Turner, Shawn Mendes, and The Funk Brothers (Marvin Gaye’s band!)
